Welcome, friends. I’m Kristin: a Pacific Northwest artist, mom, & farmer offering support for seasonal, local, liturgical living. Together, we’ll explore the agrarian heritage of the Church calendar and ideas of sacred time & sacred place.

As we begin to look toward spring, I’m re-aligning my habits and routines…pruning and planting with an eye toward fruitful growth!
I’m setting a new pattern that allows me to plan & work just a bit further in advance, which will cultivate space for a greater variety of offerings…and it will also free up time so that I can get reflections & resources to you a tad earlier (allowing you have more time to sit with them, too!)
So, in lieu of my regular deep-dive post for the month of February, I’m sharing a few sweet treats for St. Valentine’s Day with you - and I’m taking this time to re-pattern my work days to better serve all of us.
This February, I’m researching, painting, pondering, and writing for March’s focal feast - as well as crafting additional resources & art (and scheduling some marvelous guest speakers) to accompany us into spring & Lent. I’m dreaming up some new offerings that I’m really excited about!
PRINTABLE CARDS FOR ST. VALENTINE’S DAY
While I savor February & carve out time to prepare for March and set a new rhythm, I have a sweet offering of whimsical St. Valentine cards for you - just print them out on cardstock, trim & fold them, and they’re ready to bear your notes to your loved ones.
There’s also a printable sticker sheet, if you’d like to close your envelopes with a lovely little detail!
This set of all 5 different printable St. Valentine cards (and accompanying sheet of stickers) is available in the Scriptorium for paid members!
COMPLIMENTARY CARD FOR EVERYONE
And, in gratitude for all of you being here & helping to make this such a special space, here’s a St. Valentine card for all HF subscribers!

Saint Valentine, who art full high aloft –
Thus sing the small fowls for your sake –
Now welcome summer, with your sun soft,
That this winter’s weather does off-shake.Geoffrey Chaucer, excerpt from The Parliament of Fowls (c. 1340–1400), trans. A. S. Kline)
Thank you so much for being here - and for working alongside me to create resources that inspire us all to fold these rich liturgical traditions into our lives and seasons.
Keep an eye out this month for a super fun giveaway…and expect a slew of great announcements coming March 1st!
Pax et bonum,
Kristin

Those cards are sweet for any time let alone St Valentine's Day. I think your idea of being in a pattern that means you are 'ahead' will bring us all benefits. You are a busy wife, mother, community member and artist, so your schedule is full. The ability to have planning accomplished especially as you head into Lent and Spring which seem to rush upon us in a flash, is so clever and proactive. I can feel it all breathing down my neck already! Thank you also for the last post about your gathering for St Paul. I can see why it was exactly what you all needed despite the tiredness and emotional demands. I have found the same to be true for me - making a concerted effort in the hospitality/community space whilst grieving or simply very busy, paradoxically helps me relax and feel less isolated.
Beautiful post! Thank you for the lovely card
